Other Personal Property:
Do not use zero. Even the poorest college student has the clothes on his back, linen, computer, stereo system, etc. This is of no real value to the banker but a measure of your substance. A single person living alone in a furnished apartment would probably have accumulated $5000 of jewelry, clothes, electronics, etc. If they live in a one-room apartment that they have furnished, add another $5000 and keep adding $5000 for every bedroom that's furnished and occupied. A couple with two kids in a three-room apartment probably has accumulated $25,000 to $30,000. This does not include any unusual marketable collections or antiques.
